I know Easter is over but I finally had the chance to put these up. Here are some Easter baskets I made as favors for an Easter Dinner. The baskets are on the Easter 2010 cartridge. I used design studio to place 4 baskets on the mat and used the hide contour feature to hide the handles The size of the baskets on design studio are width: 6.27 height: 5.992. The handles were places on a separate mat and used the hide contour feature to hid the baskets. On the front of each basket is the chocolate bunnie with a bite in his ear. On the handles I put flowers with a flower brad in the middle. I put easter grass in the baskets and some chocolate eggs and jelly beans. They were fairly quick to make. Enjoy!
I created this blog as a place to show my cards and other paper crafts. My hope is that they inspire other crafters. I hope you enjoy my projects and inspire that little spark of creativity. Enjoy looking around.

Winter Woodland Snowman card

This card I used the Winter Woodland Cartridge. I used the tag function for the snowman cut at 4 inches. I used design studio to size the snowman for the detail cut. I also used the hide button to hide the eyes and buttons on the snowman. I cut the hat and the bottom layer of the scarf with light blue. The detail layer of the scarf and hat were cut with dark blue. I glued all the layers together and put it on the snowman tag and attached it to the card front. The buttons on the snowman are black brads. I used a swirl stamp on the background paper and inked the edges of the paper with brown ink and used a white gel pen for the white stitch marks. I went around the edge with a dark blue ink to show the tag off a bit. The Happy Holiday is a Studio G $1.00 stamp. Enjoy!

Flower Pot Card

I used design studio for this card. The cartridges that I used were George and Basic Shapes, Plantin Schoolbook and Walk in My Garden. Everything was cut from design studio and I even made a stand to attach on the back of the flowerpot so the card will stand-up. As you can see in the pictures the flowers get attached to the card that gets pulled out. I used ink on the edges and a white gel pen for the stitch marks and I wrote the Happy Birthday on the front. Enjoy!

Birthday Card
For this card I used design studio. I made the card in design studio using the cupcake from Doodle Charms cartridge. I made the card with a window and welded 3 shadow cupcakes together and then I made the layers in design studio to match the cupcakes and using the hide button I was able to cut everything out at once. I then inked the edges with chalk ink and then used pop-dots to give the card a 3-D look. I cut a piece of cream cardstock and used the fiskars border punch on one edge and then taped it behind the opening. The blue cardstock has a ribbon tied around and I put 3 knots on it. The stamp I used was a studio G stamp and then added the souffle pens to give it some color. The wording is computer generated. I used stickles on the cupcakes to give extra sparkle. Enjoy!Friday, April 3, 2009
Another Mothers Day Card
This is a card done in Design Studio. Everything is welded together and cuts out as one piece. I then cut everything out in different color paper. I inked the edges and used a brown marker for the detail in the flowers. I used pink stickles in the center of some of the flowers. It really pops against the black cardstock. Enjoy!

Bookmarkers
Here are some bookmarkers I made. The chicken one is family joke. "It was so cold outside I saw a chicken with a cape on" (insert laugh). Both were made using animal kingdom. They were made in Design Studio and I welded the cape onto the chicken and bookmarker. Same with the cat. I then cut out seperate pieces to layer them for detail. Enjoy!
