Used dark brown chalk ink on the owl and put brown ribbon under his feet.I created this blog as a place to show my cards and other paper crafts. My hope is that they inspire other crafters. I hope you enjoy my projects and inspire that little spark of creativity. Enjoy looking around.

Congrats card
This card was made using scraps on my work table. I used sizzix embossing for the congrats! I used scraps for the layering of the background. I used flowers that I cut from Walk In My Garden cartridge that were for a different project that did not happen. The brads were from a kit I bought last year. I used a white gel pen for the edges and also inked the egdes with dark brown chalk ink. I used stickles on the flower centers and on some of the dots on the paper to give some extra sparkle.Using My Scraps
I am on a mission to use my scraps of paper from other projects before using a new sheet of paper. This card uses the scraps that were piling up on my work table. I cut the squares into 1 and 1/2 inches. Inked the edges with dark brown chalk ink. White gel pen for the stitches. The stamped images come from Studio G stamps. The flower is from the Cricut Cartridge Stretch Your Imagination and the shift key for the stretched flower. Cut it out in red paper for the base. I used green paper for the top layer. Added some doodle marks with the white gel pen to the flowers so they would show up better.I'm Not Horsin' Around Card
I love the Paper Doll Dress Up Cartridge. There are many extras on this cartridge. The horse is one of them. The back of the case the cartridge comes in does not do this cartridge justice. This horse is so cute. The saying was created on the computer and printed on vellum. This is a birthday card but could be used for many other occasions. I used the cricut markers to draw all the outlines then without removing the mat I hit load paper and put the cutting blade back in and hit repeat last and cut. That really brings the horse to life. Birthday Card
Here is a card using the cricut and Stretch Your Imagination cartridge. I cut the flowers and layers at 3 inches. The middle flower was popped up with pop-dots. I used dark brown chalk ink on the flower edges. I used moss green ink on the flower pots. I used a see-dee's birthday stamp. The edge of the card is cut with a border punch from Fiskars (Threading Water). The bee is cut at 1 inch from Walk In My Garden cartridge. I used a white gel pen to look like stitches. Another Mothers Day Card
This is a card done in Design Studio. Everything is welded together and cuts out as one piece. I then cut everything out in different color paper. I inked the edges and used a brown marker for the detail in the flowers. I used pink stickles in the center of some of the flowers. It really pops against the black cardstock. Enjoy!

With Easter Cards done I wanted to get started on Mothers Day Cards.
This card I used Storybook Cartridge for the butterfly. The saying comes from Wild Card Cartridge. I inked the edges of the card with a blue chalk ink. Inked the edges of the saying with a pink chalk ink. I tired a ribbon around the patteren paper and used pop dots on the butterfly. Enjoy!

Old Fashion Bike
This is a birthday card. I found a picture of an old bike and converted it into a cut file. I used inkscape and then imported it in SCAL. I love this program. The black cut out in one piece and the wheels as separate pieces. For the spokes on the bike I first drew light lines and then I went back with a paper piercer poked holes along the lines. I then erased the lines. I added some silver glitter glue and inked the wheels. I used clear glossy finish on the wheels. I like how this turned out. It is not a girly card. Enjoy!
