St. Patrick's Day card

Here is a simple card using A Child's Year cartridge. The hat was cut at 2 1/2 inches. The shamrocks were cut at 1 inch. The background paper is from Sam's club. I used a Studio G stamp set for the printing across the card. I inked the edges with Chestnut Roan chalk ink. I went around the edges of the hat with a white gel pen to give more detail.

Doodle Charms Birthday Card (girly)

For this card I used Doodle Charms cartridge. The cupcake is cut out at 2 1/2 inches. I used Design Studio to weld the flame to the candle. I also used the hide contour button to remove the "sprinkles" from the cupcake. The scallop circle comes from the Limited Edition Easter cartridge. That is cut at 3 inches. I used the "Divine Swirls" cuttlebug embossing folder on it. The background pattern paper are scrapes from my scrap bin. I used 3 pink flowers and put a brad through them. I added pink stickles to the flowers and to the cupcake. The flame of the candle has yellow and orange stickles added to it. Enjoy!

Doodlecharms Birthday Cards (male)

I used the Doodlecharms cartridge for this card. The colors I used are more of a male card. The party hat is cut at 2 1/2 inches and I cut all the layers and used pop-dots on the layers to give a dimensional look. The scallop circle is from the Limited Edition Easter Cartridge. I used the cuttlebug embossing folder "Distressed Stripes" on the circle. On the background cardstock I used "Spots and Dots" cuttlebug embossing folder. I tied a brown ribbon around the card where the two pieces of cardstock come together to hide the seam. I used some sticles on the hat to give it a little extra something. Enjoy!

Welcome Little One

This card was made using all the scrapes on my table. The background paper was K and Co. valentine pattern paper. The cartridge used was Everyday Paper Dolls. The baby cut. The pink outfit was cut at 3 inches. I used a pink ink to highlight the details. I ran it through my big shot with the Swiss Dots Cuttlebug folder. The head was cut at 3 1/2 because the 3 inch head looked to small. The face is a peachy keen stamp and the stamp set is called Dolly Dumplins. I bought them online at www.peachykeenstamps.com The hair was cut at 3 1/2 inches and I used a white gel pen for the detail. I tied the pink bow and then glued it to the outfit. I mounted the doll on to black cardstock and then used the border punch Threading Water by Fiskars and attached it to the back of the cardstock . The doll was attached with pop-dots to give dimension. I used a white gel pen to go around the edges of the black cardstock to look like stitches. The "baby" is a dollar stamp from Michaels. Enjoy!

Hello Kitty Valentine Heart Balloon

I used my Hello Kitty cartridge for this card. The Kitty is cut at 3 inches. There are some very small pieces that cut from the layers. I use tweezers for those pieces. The base is cut using black cardstock. The red layers use the gem stone cardstock and the white is also from the gemstone cardstock. This paper has a glimmer to it and it cuts great . I used plain pink cardstock for the sleeve. The background paper is K & Co. paper pack. All paper and cardstock came from Michaels. I used Chestnut Roan Chalk ink on the edges of the pattern paper. Enjoy!

Hello Kitty Heart Card

For this card I used my new Hello Kitty cartridge. I cut the kitty out at 3 inches. Some pieces are very tiny. I cut the base out in black. The rest of the pieces were cut out according the picture in the booklet. There are lines on the base kitty to place the other pieces to give the black outline look. The heart border is a Martha Stewart border punch. The other hearts are just punched out with a heart punch and then I ran them through my big shot with a cuttlebug folder "Textile". Behind the white border is a strip of red Gem Stone cardstock from Michaels. The wording is hand printed by me. Enjoy!

28 inches of snow!

This is what 28 inches of snow looks like in Pennsylvania. we don't usually get this much snow. Our greyhound even had trouble getting around. It was up to her neck. Our chihuahua would not even venture out. Alot of digging out going on this weekend. A good time to work on some craft projects. Ignore the date on the greyhound picture, camera problems. Hope everyone stays safe and warm in the snow belt area and hope everyone else is having a great day. Enjoy!

Happy (heart) Day (Cut file included)

I saw a card the other day and liked the design of it, so I created this one using the Cricut and Design Studio. The cartridges that I used are Hannah Montanna, George and Basic Shapes and Plantin Schoolbook. The card base is A2 size and the card is made with Black cardstock from Michaels. The cardstock brand is Recollectons and it is their Gem Stone collection. One side has a very nice shimmer to it and it cuts great in the cricut. The pattern paper is from K and Company 12x12 designer paper stack called "Lovely" also from Michaels. This design cuts out as one piece and then I cut an extra heart in pink and covered it with glitter and then used a pop-dot to give it dimension. The design covers the front of an A2 size card 5 1/2 x 4 1/4. I ran the whole design through the Xyron machine and then attached to the front of the card base. Enjoy! Here is the cut file:
