The background was covered with a golden paint and then I glued tissue paper over that and sprinklred the brown glitter on top and let it dry. I then cut all the leaves out of cream cardstock and dipped in the different colors of distress ink to get the watercolor effect. All the letters are painted onto the background. I used the paper that cut out the words as a stencil. I glued the leaves to the edge of the book and stamped some leaves around the page. I used the brown spectrum noir markers to go around all the edges and gave the leaves some detail.

Art Journal Page: Best Friends

In this page I was trying to do an ink transfer. Most of it came out alright, one part I rubbed to hard and some of the picture was rubbed away. Used an old book and ripped the pages and glued them down with mod podge for the background.  I used white acrylic paint and put my copy of the picture face down on the paint. I let the paint dry and then sprayed the paper with water and rubbed the paper off. Don't rub to hard like I did. I used stamp letters for the saying and name and date. Used a sizzix red die for the oval frame to go around Molly. I then used a heart background stamp with Ranger Ink and then colored some of the hearts in with Spectrum Noir Pens.

Butterflies Are Free

butterflies were stamped with Ranger Archival Ink. I used Spectrum Noir Pens to color the butterflies. The lettering was done with various Sizzix alphabet dies and cut using the big kick machine. mod Podge and Acrylic paint was also used.

Used a lot of water mixed with the acrylic paints. Dipped the large letters in the paint to give the marbled look.  Coated everything with the Mod Podge.
