ACY Halloween Card

A simple halloween card. I used A Child's Year cartridge for the witch image. This is cut at 4 inches. I used black cardstock for the main image and shadowed with yellow. The background is a piece of black cardstock and orange patterned cardstock. Used white gel pen around the edge of the black. Used fiskars border punch on edge of orange paper. The lettering is a font on my computer and cut out with SCAL. The pumpkin in the corner is from the same cartridge cut at 1 1/2 inches. Backed with a yellow tag. Inked all the edges of the orange cardstock and pumpkin. Enjoy!

Fall is in the Air

Today's card is using the Cricut and the SCAL software. The leaves are a free cut file from http://www.svgcuts.com/ I cut them out at 1.5 inches. I used red, orange, green and yellow cardstock for the main leaf. I used brown cardstock for the stem and veins. I then used the shadow feature and cut the shadow out in black to stand out a bit. The lettering is a font on my computer cut out using SCAL. I welded each word which is easier to handle. I also shadowed the lettering and inked each word. I used pop-dots on the words and went around the edge with a glitter pen. The background is paper from Sam's Club. Enjoy!

Owl Happy Birthday Card

For this card I used scrapes of paper laying on my craft table. I put 2 orange pieces together and where they meet I put a thin strip of leaves pattern paper across to cover the seam. I inked all the edges of the paper with brown ink. The owl is from one of the Disney cartridges. It was cut awhile ago I think Happily Ever After? I think 4 inches. The dark brown part of the owl I went around with a white gel pen. The lighter brown I went around with a brown marker. I put Black Diamond stickles on the inside of the eyes and Cinnamon Stickles on the outer part of the eyes. Yellow stickles for the beak. The Happy Birthday is from a See D's Birthday stamp set. Stamped with orange ink. Enjoy!

Candy Corn Card

For this card I used Doodle Charms Cartridge. I used Design Studio and the hide feature. On the halloween candy I hid everything but the candy corn. I had to make it about 10 inches to get it to the size needed to make a card. The card is 4 1/2 inches high and 3 1/2 inches wide. I cut out 3 pieces of candy corn in yellow, orange, and white. I cut those apart and embossed each section with a different embossing plate from Fiskars. I inked all the edges with a brown and then black ink. I used my paddle punch to make the holes for the ribbon. I tied the ribbon into a bow. The ribbon came from A.C. Moore. The Trick or Treat came from PC Crafter Autumn Days by Laurie Furnell. Enjoy!

Haunted House Card with cut file

I used the Wild Card Cartridge. The House Card. I also used design studio to cut everything out. I also used George and Basic Shapes and Paper Doll Dress Up. I cut the house out in orange and then I used George to cut planks for the outside of the house. For around the window I used smaller planks to look like they were nailed to the house. The skeleton is glued inside the card so you see him when the card is opened. I don't know the measurement but I will put the cut file up later. I used Peachy Keen stamps on the pumpkin and the ghost looking out the window. It is a large card. I inked all the planks to give a wood look. This has many possibilities. Let me know what you think. Enjoy! Here is the cut file: http://www.mediafire.com/file/niymdxnkdtj/halloween card.cut

Witch Hat

For this card I used a free witch hat cut file from svgcuts.com. I cut the hat out using SCAL and my cricut at 2 1/2 inches in black. I used Popcorn pens to give the textured look. I covered the hat with the black pen and then used my heat gun to puff the ink. I used purple and yellow for the decorative part. The background is hand stamped using Studio G stamps. The pumpkins I went around with a fine tip brown marker. The words are stamped with brown ink. I went around the edge of the card with orange ink. The hat is matted on purple 3x3 inches and then mounted on black 3 1/4x 3 1/4 inches. On the purple cardstock I stamped small hats in a darker purple around the witch hat. Inked the edges with brown ink on the purple cardstock. Enjoy!

Pumpkin Face Card

For this card I used Stretch Your Imagination Cartridge. I cut the pumpkin out at 3 1/2 inches on blackout. I also cut the layers. I drew the face on the pumpkin and I used chalk to make the lines in the pumpkin. I used green stickles for the vine and cinnamon stickles for the stem. The ribbon is just a left over piece on my table. The pumpkin border is a studio G halloween stamp and the saying on the top is from that same set. I embossed the black cardstock with Fiskars texture plate (Dots). Inked the edges with Chalk ink (Green Moss). Enjoy!

Witch's Shoe/boot with cut file

I saw this in Paper Crafts Magazine and decided I needed to make one. I made an .svg file with the pattern to make the card easier to cut out. Using a machine to do the cutting is easier and faster. I used purple for the shoe and cut green stripes and then used purple glitter to glam it up. I used black ribbon on the top and the heel of the shoe. I used orange dots (Skittles on the Cricut Message Board) to look like buttons. I used orange paint on clear skittles and they came out great. I think it came out cute for my first attempt. Next time I think I will use patteren paper.
Here is the cut file for the witches boot, this card opens from the side not the top like others have made.

Background paper from a paper stack that had different holidays. Tied ribbon around the card and put a small stamped greeting on the front. Simple and quick to make. Enjoy!

I used red for the base and black for the shadow. I cut the bat out at 5 inch wide with the keep proportions button on. The stamped image came from a dollar stamp at Micheals last year.
