My "Grunge" flowers

Grunge flowers are all the rage right now but when I tried to make my own following directions from different blogs mine never turned out right. So I came up with my own. I cut the flower that is on the Mothers Day Cartridge in different sizes.

Smallest flower at: 2.25 inches, 2.50 inches and 2.75 inches.

Middle Size flower at: 3.25 inches, 3.50 inches, 3.75 inches

Large flower: 3.50 inches, 3.75 inches, 4.00 inches

X-tra large flower: 4.00 inches, 4.25 inches, 4.50 inches.

After cutting out the flowers I sprayed them with a mixture of Pearl Ex powder, Hair Spray and Water. While they are wet I crinkled them up and then carefully uncrinkled them. I used my heat gun to dry them and they would shrink and get stiff. I then put a brad in the middle to hold them together. The pearl ex gives them a nice shimmer and they hold their shape nicely. Some are three petals and the large nes I used six petals. The picture does not do them justice but they really look wonderful. Enjoy!

These came out great. I'm teaching a class next Tuesday called Flowers, Pinwheels, Tips, Techniques & More featuring about 5-8 homemade grunge type flowers. You did a great job. I love them! You are a whiz with the cricut!!!!
